(photos directly above and below text)

Palladio: Precipitation’s sire Palladio passed on his quality bloodlines, superior movement, a fabulous temperament and conformation along with his powerful jumping ability. Palladio brings a well-known, and highly respected Holsteiner sire line to Precipitation’s pedigree that is rarely seen in the US. his dutch pedigree combines the best of the Holsteiner, Dutch Gelder, Dutch Groniger, Thoroughbred, Selle Francais, Anglo-Arab, and Shagya bloodlines from around the world.

Caletto I
Caletto I: The influential stallion, Caletto I was approved in Neumünster in 1977 and passed his performance test at Medingen the following year. According to the Stallion Book of the Holsteiner Warmblood Breed by Dr Dietrich Rossow, he was "tall, important sire with the smooth topline of a modern riding horse. Good face, rather heavy neck and a thick throatlatch. Prominent withers, rather flat through the loin, sharply dropped croup.in which the muscle doesn't carry down well.
Good trot, absolutely marvelous canter. Extraordinary jumping ability with fantastic form over fences." Caletto I has sired perfomrance horses of his type with his strong points and faults. Very energetic individuals with great jumping ability."These are definatley some traits that Precipitation has inherited as well.
As is so often the case, Caletto is the product of one of those mares that 'make' a breeder - Deka. Bred by Holstein breeder, Klaus-Martin Both, she produced eleven living foals before she died at the age of 23 - the eleventh being Caletto III. Deka is by Consul, the best son of the influential Thoroughbred, Cottage Son. |

Caletto 1 cont... Amazingly all Deka's foals have competed at the highest level. All but one of her sons went on to become licensed stallions, and her daughter, Nathalie is the dam of a KWPN approved stallion! In 1973, Deka was bred for the first time to Cor de la Bryère, producing Cordeka who with Herbert Bloecker competed successfully in showjumping and eventing competitions. Bred to Cor de Bryère the following year, Deka produced the first of the three stallion full-brothers, Caletto I, II and III. There was a fourth product of the cross, born in 1976 who never made it to licensed stallion status. Caletto II was born in 1978 and Caletto III in 1984.
Caletto I was selected by the master breeder, Baron Clens von Nagel to stand at his Vornholz Stud in Westphalia. According to Claus Schridde in the 2006 edition of Bernd Eylers German Stallion Book, the Baron 'was a great authority on horses. He instinctively did the right thing in horse breeding over several decades.
Performance Record
He is very willing to work and learn and has already exceeded our expectations. This boy is smart!!! He amazes us everyday and has such personality.
Precipitation (AKA Tate) is training with Nancy Lewis-Stanton a Grand Prix rider and trainer from Sendonway Dressage Equestrian Center.
Nancy Lewis, Tates trainer, feels that he is a dream stallion.
"I have always wanted a black and white paint. When I was a little girl that was my dream horse. My dream came true in May of this year when Melissa sent Tate to me for training. He was the easiest horse to break. His temperment is wonderful. His trot is huge. the first time I asked him to trot I thought he was going to take off! It was his natural stride. He has so much push from behind. His canter and walk are even better than his trot as he is so balanced..
Tates personality is great. He has such a sense of humor. He is always trying to please and takes everything in stride. I have total trust in him. He is one of the kindest stallions I have ever worked with. I am looking forward to the chance to show him. He has such a big future and I am so honored to be a part of it. He will excell at whatever he does!"
